List Security Group

Under this section, you will find all Security Groups configured for this VPC, all VPC has a security group by default, as shown below. To add a New Security Group, click on Add New Security Group.

It will be open a window, you have to filled the fields as shown in following picture, then click on Next.

Group name:

Security Group’s name to assist with identification.

Description:

Brief description about this Security Group.

In tab Tagging, you can fill the applicable tag for your Security Group, then click on Create to finish.

Note: Tagging in Kumolus application is configurable, there is a section about it in this documentation.

The Security Group that has been created is listed on List Security Group.

For each Security Group there are these actions.

Inbound Rules:

Under this section, will be configured the rules allowing the Inbound Traffic for this Security Group.

“No rules” is default for new Security Groups, click on Add New Rule to create your customized rule.

It is necessary filled all three fields to save the new rule, then click on Save.

Source: Must be a valid CIDR (e.g. 0.0.0.0/0) or the ID of another security group.

To remove an existing rule, click on Remove button of the rule you desire delete.

Once you have deleted a Rule you won’t see it anymore at Inbound Rules.

Outbound Rules:

Under this section, will be configured the rules allowing the Outbound Traffic for this Security Group.

The rule shown in the following picture is default for new Security Groups, click on Add New Rule to create your customized rule.

It is necessary filled all three fields to save the new rule, then click on Save.

Destination: Must be a valid CIDR (e.g. 0.0.0.0/0) or the ID of another security group.

To remove an existing rule, click on Remove button of the rule you desire delete.

Once you have deleted a Rule you won’t see it anymore at Outbound Rules.

Delete:

Delete an existing Security Group.

Click on Delete to remove an existing Security Group.

You will receive the following message confirming the action.

Once you have deleted a Security Group you won’t see it anymore at List Security Group.
