Backup Preferences

Kumolus allows you to schedule backups of your environments and move the data into another AWS account or Region.

To add a new policy, click on Add Policy.

It will be open a window as shown below.

Policy name: Policy’s name to assist with identification.

Choose services: Choose the services you wish to backup in the environment.

Adapter: Choose a Backup adapter (Created from Settings: Adapter).

Environments: Choose the Environments you wish to have added to the policy.

Region: Choose the target region for the backups.

Note: Backup will not shutdown the instance before creating the Image.

After you filled all required fields you will have a screen like the following picture, click on Save to finish.

You will receive a confirmation about this action.

Once your Backup Policy has been created it will be listed at Backup Preferences tab.

For each Backup Policy you will have these actions.

Schedule Backup: Click on first icon to create a new Schedule Event.

Name: Event’s name to assist with identification.

Backup Policies: Select all Backup Policies that will be part of this Schedule Event.

Then click on Next.

Select when this event will start.

If this event will be repeated tick the Repeats check box and choose the occurrence. It will be repeated always on the same time of the first execution.

Then click on Create to finish.

You will receive a confirmation about this action.

Once your schedule event has been created it will be listed on calendar at Settings > Event Scheduler.

Edit: Click on second icon to edit the Backup Policy.

You can edit all fields as you wish, then click on Save to update.

Remove: Click on third icon to remove an existing Backup Policy.

When you click on icon of a Trash you will receive a confirmation message box warning you about this action. If you confirm this operation click on OK.
